Designer extraordinaire to the stars, style guru, TV show host, intrepid retail entrepreneur and now sartorial philanthropist – there’s no containing the effervescent energies of Keith Png that’s sparking new excitement in Singapore’s fashion scene.
Already, his two eponymous labels – Keith Png Bespoke which specializes in highly designed, custom-made dresses; and Koops by Keith Png which offers a versatile collection of chic, ready-to-wear dresses – has garnered a loyal following, They include Asian celebrities as well as savvy fashionistas with a keen eye for designer details and quality tailoring.
Among the celebrities who have been seen on the red carpet in Keith’s exclusive creations are award-winning International star Ziyi Zhang; and top Taiwanese model and star Lin Chi Ling. Singaporean top actresses Fann Wong, Zoe Tay and Jeanette Aw; award-winning Singaporean songstresses Kit Chan and Joi Chua; SK-II brand ambassador and Singapore top model Sheila Sim; Most noticeably at Fann Wong and best asian blogger - Xiaxue’s highly publicized wedding, Keith was appointed to create the one-off contemporary gown they wore at their marriage solemnization ceremony.
In keeping to his mission of breeding alternate creativity in the local fashion scene, Keith established cult concept store Hide & Seek in 2008 which stocks interesting finds from around the world. The store was voted “Best New Retail Store” by The Sunday Times in the same year. In addition, Keith also has a third label, Koops Uniform by Keith Png, which aptly fills the void for well-designed uniforms in Singapore’s increasingly sophisticated retail market.
In between his busy schedule, Keith manages to find time to co-host “Fashion Asia”, a TV fashion travelogue series on Channel U. The show sees him dispensing useful styling tips and fashion advice with a different celebrity in a different country in each episode.
In 2012, Keith was invited by Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) to represent Singapore to participate in their reality television program- Asian Ace for a Fashion showdown between Japan and Singapore. He won the battle with an impressive score of 3 against 0.
In 2013, Keith has been specially picked as celebrity fashion expert/ guru/ teacher in Lady First Singapore. Lady First is not only Taiwan’s longest running variety show on beauty, but also its definitive voice!
Keith has also been invited to host his self titled- “Celeb makeover with keith”, an online fashion series on Toggle. The show sees him transforming different celebrity into a totally different look in each episode.
The TV exposure has propelled Keith as a respected “Fashion leader” of Singapore. Keith was invited by various distinguished organization; Calvin Klein Jeans, Christian Dior, DKNY, Hugo Boss, Max Mara, Samsung, Swarovski and many others to produce and coordinate their fashion workshops and events.
Fully expounding his philosophy of designing with his heart, Keith contributes his talent regularly to charitable causes. These include a dress created for the Singapore Heart Foundation’s auction at the Audi Fashion Festival 2009; an exclusive, cheekily named set of Aprondisiac aprons for the Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation’s Fund raising efforts; and a limited edition Her World tee shirt for Unifem.
