XAVIER ONG

  • Growing up with his step-father, veteran actor Wang Yuqing, Xavier was exposed to acting at a young age. His acting career began with a single-episode stint on Crime Watch. Rising to fame with his role of “Alex” in Mediacorp Channel 8 drama series “Don’t Stop Believin’”, Xavier went on to star in films and movies such as “Dance Dance Dragon” and “Imperfect”. Ensuing his brief hiatus after being enlisted for national service, he immediately went back into production for the likes of “Life – Fear Not”, “The Fortune Handbook” and “Uplift”.

An opportunity arose in 2015 that took him to Taiwan, where he made frequent appearances on variety shows. He has starred in various local drama series since, and most recently, he is seen on local television in his role of Edgar in “The Driver”, starring alongside his step-father.

A versatile actor, his most memorable role is that of a mentally challenged young man in “Life Fear Not”. He has also acted as a dead recruit in “Die Die Also Must Serve” and an investigator in “The Driver”.
